Wed11May2016Davidson's Brew Pub, 184 Glen St., Glens Falls, NY
Pub Sing and Morris Dancing at Davidson's Brew Pub, 184 Glen St.,
Glens Falls beginning at 7 PM. Quoting a notice from Jake, "This is to
honor the 35th anniversary of Bill Newman's Albany Pale Ale (and to
consume what's left of an anniversary batch - bring your growlers)."
Our first stop is the Old Songs Building at 37 South Main St, dancing from 7 to 7:30 as participants in the regular Wednesday night jam session come in. There is usually on-street parking when I've been there. I suspect the big lot across the street that belongs to a carpet company will be available as well, but just be sure you check signs before assuming it's safe to park.
We will then head to Nichols Park. This is not the Evergreen park on Maple Ave., the main drag across from the church where we have danced (with virtually no audience) many times. Rather, it's a family recreation park behind the Village Hall. Looks as if that is at 29 Voorheesville Avenue, if you need a reference mark.
I believe the plan is to finish at Smith's Tavern (AKA Smitty's) for pizza etc. -- 112 Maple Ave.
Sat10Sep2016Salem United Methodist Church
Event at Tricia and Don's church; we dance for food, times tentatively starting around mid-day
Our two main dance stands will be at the Cazenovia Farmer’s Market in the late morning and Critz’s Farms in the afternoon, as we expect those two locations to have some foot traffic for audience.
Draft Schedule (aka subject to change)
10:00-10:30am Early bird coffee stand (optional for our longer travelling friends) at Peak’s Coffee House in Nelson, NY, with coffee and dancing on the deck.
11:00 – 12:15 Farmer’s Market in downtown Cazenovia
12:45-2:00pm lunch at the Copper Turret in Morrisville
